About Us

Dana & Michele spent most of their lives teaching, playing & writing music.

Dana has toured throughout the U.S., Canada & Mexico, is a member of BMI songwriter rights agency and she owned DC Music, a guitar, drum shop in Columbus, Ms. for over twenty years.  She began her musical career at age 3 when her parents gave her a ukulele, then started playing drum set at age 7.  At age 11, Dana began to learn guitar and she started teaching at age 12.  Dana was drummer of the year in 1972 at the International Song Festival in Nashville, TN where she played with the Latinos from Los Angeles, California.  Dana Clark was voted Best Female Musician in the Southern Voice Awards 2009 and in the GA Voice Awards 2010.



Michele began singing at age 10 and started her musical career in Pensacola, Florida where she was a member of the Bi-Centennial Singers.   She took up guitar in 1991 to accompany herself while singing.  Michele has a degree in Psychology from Mississippi University for Women and has been teaching music for over 18 years.  She teaches guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, and drums to children and adults from ages 5 to 75.  She taught guitar to Ruby Jane Smith, the youngest person ever to appear on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.   Along with Dana, Michele Clark has been awarded Best Band in Southern Voice Awards 2009.
